i'm joining a bike club and taking some group rides that invariably fall on saturday and/or sunday mornings.

Anyone just glad to have their weekends free again? I think I'll ride past the ol' KH just to see all the "fine activity" I'm missing out on. LIVE FREE OR DIE!

What would you say? Are sexually deviant elders more common than we think? Does anyone else have a story similar to Puternut's? I'd really like to know of incidents in Connecticut, with names. They also recently poo-pooed yoga, claiming that the meditation causes one to lose mental control and invites the devil's influence. In other words, any deep thought is wrong, unless you're thinking of ways to increase your field service. I have some low back pain and downloaded some stretching exercises (read: yoga) to loosen up. Someone saw the print-outs and I had to explain that I wasn't meditating while I stretched. He said "OK" with that tone of "You're making a big mistake." Come on. How far will the GB go to control people? They publish cover articles against superstition and a few months later write this BS. WTF?

Would a letter of DA do a DF'ed guy any good?
by czarofmischief inbesides the visceral satisfaction of sticking it the man that abused me for so many years - would it help to write a letter of disassociation and send copies to the elders, the society, and maybe a lawyer?.
my reasoning is that as a disfellowshipped person, i am regarded as a sinner - someone who was led astray by weakness and sin.
this is true.

Old email from an elder right before I DA'd myself
by Winston Smith :>D inafter reading shotgun's lovely meeting with his two helpful elders, i was inspired to go back and look at the time when i had the pleasure to meet with the elders.
it was a wonderful experience to observe first hand their stellar ability to reason on matters, to mask their investigations with "we missed you at the meeting, and to just be so damn condecsending.. .
man i'm glad i saved so many of my meetings with them on my computer.. .

You turned his own words right back at him. Gotta love it! Please post more of these if you have them. It's so funny to read these textbook examples of witness-speak. "Buy out the time" "In fact, we're all busy." Hilarious!!!! One of my personal favorites is "take the matter to Jehover in prayer" Really sounds weird when someone says that in casual conversation.
